Opening: QA Specialist

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 1 year experience in GMP/FDA regulated environment, preferably pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Position Summary/Responsibilities: This position is responsible for establishing cGMP in a start-up manufacturing of clinical products which includes: processing change orders, coordinating the review and revision of procedures, batch records, specifications and forms, assigning and monitoring document numbers, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness, maintaining files to support all documentation systems of the organization, as well as, assisting in the execution of the Quality and RA functions.

The QA Specialist works on projects or problems of simple to moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. This position exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Opening: Senior Research Scientist/ Managing Research Scientist

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering or a related field, or foreign equivalent and 3 years of experience as a Research Associate, Lead Technician, or related position

Position Summary/Responsibilities: Study pharmaceuticals and related agents for therapeutic application on living cells. Conduct and supervise research to understand therapeutic targets and chemical compounds for Oncology, Hair Stimulating, Orthopedic Products, and related topics relevant to human health. Work with Research and Development (R&D) team(s). Research includes performing laboratory experimental procedures to develop and enhance our Company's core medical products. Conduct data analysis, write study reports, maintain research documentation, write lab Standard Operating Procedures, and support publication preparation and patent preparation. Supervise lab activities including intern and technician training, maintaining proper research documentation, implementing pertinent research regulations such as safety, environmental and health standards and procedures, and ensuring proper general lab maintenance. Advise executives and participate in the preparation for and negotiations with current and potential Spanish speaking research and business partners, clients, and similar entities, with particular focus on Mexico.

Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of experience in the following:

  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, histology and animal micro-surgery.
  • Proficiency in application of ELISA, SDS PAGE, Western blot analysis, HPLC separation/analysis, BCA protein quantitation, affinity and size exclusion chromatography, molecular weight fractionization, QC assays, data collection, graphing, Q-PCR.
  • In vitro studies and techniques such as MTT proliferation, fibroblast/keratinocyte migration, T-cell differentiation, catenin translocation assay, apoptosis assays, or other bioactivity assays.
  • Histology techniques including tissue fixation, sectioning, H&E staining, Masson's trichrome staining, immuno-fluorescence, and immuno-histochemistry.
  • In vivo studies including: Disease induction, dosing by all major routes of administration, tissue and blood sampling, subcutaneous wound closure, hair growth assays, Orthotopic-micro-surgical.
  • Mouse models, including wound healing, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, peritoneal cancer, Subcutaneous mouse cancer models (skin, prostate, colon, ovarian cancers).
  • Chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) of the fertilized chicken egg assay for tumorogenesis and angiogenesis.
  • Laboratory work supervision
